SCHOOL MENUS
| SCHOOL BREAKFAST - A HEALTHY CHOICE School breakfast for everyone! Its easy! Instead of running
around in the morning trying to make sure your children eat a healthy meal, let
us do the work. They can get a great breakfast at school, and there will be no
dishes for you to wash! Some mornings, it’s tough to find the time to make sure your kids are eating a nutritious breakfast. On those days, why not send them to the School Breakfast Program? Each meal meets government nutritional guidelines and standards. Schools are required to provide a breakfast meal that supplies at least ¼ of the Recommended Dietary Allowance for protein, calcium, iron, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and calories. SHAPLEIGH BREAKFAST CART EVENTS The Kittery Schools Leadership Team strongly supports the Nutrition Program and participates in events! (And the Town Manager) ![]() ![]() The Food Network visited Shapleigh School to tape an episode of the Great Food Truck Race, with host Tyler Florence. The 5th grade students judged the meals created by the contestants. The Shapleigh School actively participates in Fuel Up To Play 60, a program sponsored by the National Football League and the National Dairy Council. Students are logging in their physical activity and healthy eating habits daily. Former NFL great Troy Brown encouraged our students to follow these incentives! | FREE/REDUCED MEAL APPLICATION The Kittery School Department encourages families to apply for free and reduced priced meals.
